On Stage — Jano at The Cotton Club, Italy

On Saturday, November 27, at 10 pm, and Monday, November 29, at 7 pm, KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features a special recorded performance from Italy! KUVO host Rodney Franks hosted this club date with Jano, an Italian modern jazz ensemble at The Cotton Lab in Ascoli Piceno, near Italy’s Adriatic Sea coast.

This session was captured on August 27, 2018, and produced with the KUVO audience in mind! Jano is led by Emiliano D’Auria, who plays piano and is the primary composer of the band’s work. We’ll get to know Emiliano and the maestro bassist of the band, Maurizio Rolli. It’s a truly exciting event, featuring original compositions in an explorative, modern jazz vein, with contemporary Italian jazz sensibilities.

This performance was produced for KUVO’s global audience at the famed music club and music school The Cotton Lab, which is also a must-play for jazz artists touring Europe.
