KUVO welcomes Dinosaurchestra to the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Friday, May 18 at 2:15 to 3pm. Dinosaurchestra is a New Orleans band, est. in 2014, playing a rich mixture of the Crescent City’s sounds from the last century. You can hear influences ranging from Louis ArmstrongJelly Roll Morton, and Duke Ellington to Fats Domino and David Bartholomew. We have also been known to, on occasion, ‘genre bend’ to the reaches of Rhythm and Blues to some Classical Music. Dinosaurchestra has been swinging across town, playing weekly residencies in some of New Orleans’ most famous music venues (Tuesday’s @ d.b.a. and Sunday’s @ the Marigny Brasserie) for the past 4 years.

You can hear Dinosaurchestra, any given night, performing in a concert setting, playing to an attentive audience or playing in a crowded club to a jammed dance floor! We love New Orleans for these reasons! This is also why we enjoy touring… we love to spread the music beyond the bayou!

Included in the band is *Reid Poole (NOLA & Colorado Springs) on trumpet, Miles Lyons (NOLA) on trombone & sousaphone, Marty Peters (NOLA/CT) on reeds, *Brian Claxton (CO) on drums, Steve Denny (NYC) on piano and *Seth Lewis (CO) on bass.
