Genevieve has played music since the age of five and has been deeply committed to championing the positive impact of music in people’s lives, on communities, and through local music industries and governments since the beginning of her undergraduate degree. She has a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in Music Business and Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado Denver.
After her undergraduate degree, she went on to work in live music production for music venues and festivals in Denver and Austin, Texas, for eight years. Most recently she completed a Master’s of Musicology from the University of Manchester in England. Her musicology research specialized in the music industry’s interaction with cultural policy and the impact of public funding on independent musician’s career sustainability. During her free time, she loves to travel, hang out with her pug, and play music.
