Houston Person is swingin’ into 2020 T Dazzle at Baur’s on Saturday and Sunday, January 4 and 5, at 7 pm both evenings.

Person may be one of the few players still active in the long history of blues-drenched “boss tenors” stretching back to Gene Ammons, Arnett Cobb, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, “Bull Moose” Jackson, and others.

Person has long exhibited a keen ear for simpatico musicians—from his classic partnership with Etta Jones to his series of superb duo encounters with Ron Carter—and over the years he has developed a strong bond with Denver’s own Jeff Jenkins, Ken Walker, and Paul Romaine.

In July, Person released his latest record I’m Just a Lucky So and So, and now proudly brings that music to his loyal Denver fan base. Come celebrate the first weekend of the new year in style with the warmest sounding tenor this side of Ben Webster.
