It’s September and summer is almost over, and for a lot of people they think that grilling is done as well, but that is not the case according to Jason from GQue BBQ. He joined us for this month’s Joy Wine and food pairing and brought some ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, a delicious in-house recipe mac and cheese, and a killer bourbon cherry cheesecake.

This moving documentary profiles Eddie Aikau: legendary big wave surfer, pioneering lifeguard, peacemaker, and crew member of the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule’a. Eddie began surfing at age eleven. In 1959, at age sixteen, he dropped out of high school and bought his first surfboard with money he made working at the Dole pineapple cannery.
