This Wednesday, October 17 at 10 p.m., KUVO Jazz Odyssey host Venus Cruz spends an hour on the air with Derrick Hodge!

The emotional and melodic range of Philadelphia bassist Derrick Hodge was in demand long before he signed with Blue Note in 2011, but his repute as a producer, composer, and arranger for hip-hop and film soundtrack projects is really raising eyebrows. His latest project is straight up next-generation jazz. Hodge co-produced Justin Kauflin’s new CD “Coming Home” with Quincy Jones!
