The Nightside’s double feature will focus on two musicians born in the first week of December.

Influential guitarist Jim Hall was born December 4, 1930, in Buffalo, New York working with Paul Desmond, Sonny Rollins, and Pat Metheny just to name a few…

And, John Francis Pastorius (aka Jaco) was born December 1, 1951, in Norristown PA. although Jaco was primarily known for his Floridian roots and became an iconic figure of electric bass working with Pat Metheny, Weather Report, and Joni Mitchell.

Both stand out as band leaders and influencers.

Join Andy O’ on The Nightside on Sunday, December 4, from 8 to midnight, when he’ll play an extra measure of their contributions to Jazz as well as the spoken word and other adventurous music on The Oasis in the City, KUVO JAZZ.
