Domi Edson Trio

Reminiscent of groups like the Ray Brown and Oscar Peterson Trios, the Domi Edson Trio performs a unique collection of new and reimagined music and has three records to their name (Without the Re, Stories from Solitude, and A Jazzy Hanukkah). Domi Edson is an emerging force as a jazz bassist and composer- she has already made an impact as an artist, having played as a bandleader at Dazzle, Frankie’s Jazz Club (Vancouver, B.C.), The Royal Room (Seattle), Yardbird Suite (Edmonton, AB), live on KUVO 89.3, the Five Points Jazz Festival, and at the International Society of Bassists Conference. Domi is also a passionate jazz educator, working with the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA), Vail Jazz, Gift of Jazz, and others. As a Sidewoman, Domi has performed with Terrell Stafford, Jason Marsalis, Charles McPherson, Tia Fuller, Greg Gisbert, Dawn Clement, Gayelynn McKinney, Ben Markley, among others. Domi is joined by her trio-mates Spencer Zweifel on piano and Bobby Wiens on drums.
