Artist Spotlight: Guitarist Blake Beitzel
Guitarist Blake Beitzel, a recording artist, producer, and musician hailing from Dover, Ohio, who is currently based in Denver, stopped in for Paul Donovan's "Artist Spotlight" series. He talked about his show at Dazzle.
Growing up playing music, he learned how to play the guitar, bass, drums, and piano by the age of eleven. Blake blends elements of jazz, funk, and the blues while mixing in new-age sounds. The result is one equally reminiscent of 70s rock bands as it is new-wave jamtronica. His music is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, whether you are 80 or 18 years old. Blake can be found playing with his full time band, traveling around as a solo act, or performing with other Denver based musicians.
Blake performed with his bass-playing dad, Jeff Beitzel, and Barflies original drummer, Clint Alguire, both who flew in from Ohio just to play for this show.
