Artist Spotlight: Matt Skellenger
Colorado bassist Matt Skellenger joined Paul Donovan's Artist Spotlight this Tuesday, August 12, at 4 pm. Matt, a musician, composer, and educator, makes his living by writing and performing his own music, playing in multiple bands, and teaching music.
He's got a new album called Clearing the Path, a duo recording with Matt Reid on trumpet, cornet, guitar, and effects. This album was recorded at Mighty Fine Productions with Colin Bricker. Together, they recorded four compositions by Ron Miles, a tune by Freddie Hubbard, and some originals.
There will be a CD release party at Dazzle on Saturday, August 16, at 6:30 pm.
