Mona Lisa of Canción Mexicana

KUVO’s The Morning Set gives listeners insight into the voices they hear on the radio. This week on “Behind the Mic” we feature one of the longtime hosts of the Sunday morning staple “Canción Mexicana,” Mona Lisa.

She comes from a musical family, and she sings a bit, but she really loves sharing the music she grew up with, especially Tejano, especially Jay Perez, whose music begins this feature.

Catch Mona Lisa and the other hosts of Canción Mexicana – Yolanda Ortega, Debra Gallegos, Larry Lobato and Jesse Estrada, Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on KUVO JAZZ.
