Behind the Mic: Native Lens on The Morning Set

Arvida produces the weekly Oasis E-News

For Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month, we wanted to tell you about Native Lens, which started in 2020 to develop more venues to showcase films from established and emerging filmmakers. The Morning Set’s Steve Chavis connected with Colleen Thurston, project producer for Native Lens on a few of their offerings.

Rocky Mountain Public Media is a founding media partner with Native Lens, based at the Tribal Media Center at KSUT Tribal Radio in Ignacio, part of the Southern Ute Reservation.

Check out the films at Native Lens, and as they say, like, share, comment, and subscribe.
