Community Connection: Jax Armendariz Unzueta of Rocky Mountain PBS KIDS
As we continue our journey with Autism Acceptance Month, Jax Armendariz Unzueta from our sister station, Rocky Mountain PBS, will join Tree King in the studio on Thursday, April 17, during the 11 o'clock hour.
Jax will speak about the new PBS KIDS "Carl the Collector" series, which breaks new ground as the first PBS KIDS show to feature central characters on the autism spectrum. It’s a new 2D animated series for children ages 4-8 created by New York Times bestselling illustrator and author Zachariah OHora.
The show also features relatable stories, characters, and messages, and a production team with neurodiverse writers, animators, advisors, and voice talent. "Carl the Collector" celebrates our differences and commonalities, and the idea that we all have something unique to offer. The series is produced by Fuzzytown Productions and Spiffy Pictures for PBS KIDS in English and Spanish. Watch "Carl the Collector" on Rocky Mountain PBS; check our local listing HERE!
Tune in to Mid-morning Jazz with Tree King Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.
