Somewhere, a music and dance-filled portrait of a tight-knit Puerto Rican family striving to make it in show business.

Francisco is the middle child of a family struggling to make ends meet. He is looking for an opportunity to make it big in New York City in 1959 when West Side Story hits the big screen. The character aims to remain positive even as his family and the rest of their neighborhood face a sudden notice announcing a neighborhood-wide eviction.

I talked with Danny about what it was like to prepare for this role. He shared that he loves to dance, and his character does a lot of high-energy dancing during the play.

Somewhere runs through May 31 at the Kilstrom Theatre at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. More information and tickets here: Denver Center/ Somewhere.
