Kim Yuan-Farrell, Executive Director of The Park People, recently visited Paul Donovan for his "Community Voices" segment.

The Park People is a Denver nonprofit with a mission of working with communities to plant trees and improve parks for a healthy, resilient future. They envision vibrant, thriving communities where all have access to the social, economic, and environmental benefits that trees provide.

Through grassroots efforts, community partnership, and robust programming, they work to minimize the tree equity gap—one highly correlated with affluence and race—and increase tree canopy across all Denver neighborhoods; mitigate rising temperatures, pollution, and water crises; train passionate and skilled urban forestry stewards; and beautify our city so that all can learn, play, and grow.

For more info about their Denver Digs Trees and Earth Day events this weekend, go to www.theparkpeople.org.
