Community Voices: Music Creators Camp

As a radio personality for more than 20 years in Denver, Paul’s radio career includes work with major market stations in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Dallas

Luke Wachter, Associate Director of Educational Initiatives at the Newman Center, will visit with KUVO Evening Jazz host Paul Donovan, on Tuesday May 6 at 4 p.m., to talk about the upcoming Music Creators Camp, a program that gives students 13-16 years old of all abilities a crash course in producing original music of their own.

Campers have hands-on experience with the latest music technology, learning techniques for composition, recording, and production from industry pros. Beginner and experienced campers are both welcome at this hands-on, creative incubator with the Newman Center for the Performing Arts.

Camp will be held at The Community College of Denver (Auraria Campus).

Two camp sessions are available: June 9 - June 13 (beginner) and June 16 - June 20 (experienced). Both sessions are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily with snacks.
