Dawn Clement & Steve Kovalcheck

Pianist-vocalist Dawn Clement and guitarist Steve Kovalcheck joined Kim Berry to chat about their new projects.

Clement talked about ”Dear Ms. Dearie,” an homage to vocalist Blossom Dearie with an all-star band: Steve Kovalcheck, bassist John Clayton, and drummer Jeff Hamilton.

Kovalcheck talked about his newly released album Buckshot Blues, and how growing up in Nashville influenced his diverse musicianship. Both musicians emphasized how music education and mentorship shaped them.
