DENVER, Colo. — When Troy Guard arrived in Denver just after the turn of the century, Denver’s food scene was on the cusp of blowing up. Fast forward through national and local awards, and the TAG Restaurant Group has six concepts across a dozen restaurants in Colorado and Texas. When Troy dropped in on The Morning Set, he brought some items from the Los Chingones – RINO menu: a rich, smoky Mexican Ramen, a couple of amazing salsas (sweet & habanero!), a Mexican pizza, and a rattlesnake chorizo queso that could start a fight or settle a war.

Listen below for Troy’s stories from the front lines of food service in Denver.
