Thank you to those who supported KUVO JAZZ on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, transmitters are operating at reduced power and reception may be affected through the weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on the KUVO app.

For our Summit County ListenersThe KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

Eats & Beats: Denver Rescue Mission

This week on Eats & Beats, instead of finding the next tasty dish, we talk about giving food away to our neighbors who could use a meal. Stephen Hinkel from the Denver Rescue Mission visited The Morning Set with the details on this season’s holiday food giveaway.  “We are definitely more than that old phrase ‘three hots and a cot,” said Hinkel.

“We want to make a transformational change in people’s lives when they come through our front door.”

The Mission’s annual outreach includes frozen turkey drop-offs along the Front Range (at least 12 lbs. and frozen), a meal box giveaway at Empower Field next Monday (Nov. 25), as well as a Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday (Nov. 27) at the historic shelter at Park Avenue and Lawrence Street.
