High School & Collegiate Series: Denver South Raven Jazz Combo LIVE on KUVO channels

KUVO's High School and Collegiate Series presents musicians from Denver South High School on all of KUVO channels, Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m.

The Denver South High School Raven Jazz Combo, under the direction of Kyle Dobbins, performs a wide variety of jazz standards and charts from all eras and backgrounds of jazz. In shows where most music is selected by students, the Denver South Raven Jazz Combo plays a wide variety of styles of jazz while bringing forth true artistry through their music and solos. The ensemble is open to any and all instruments.

The combo is one of the most active performing ensembles at South High School and has performed throughout Denver and the surrounding area. In addition to their regular performances, they have participated in Jazz Festivals nationwide. Denver South High School's Jazz Combo will be performing at the UNC Greeley Jazz Festival on April 25, and at Denver South High School on Tuesday, April 29.

Seniors this year in the ensemble include Foster Hresko, Sam Grey, Leo Stone, Francesco Paglialonga, Kevin Maldonado, Carlos Aguilar, Thai Vu, and Cyrus Engle.

Other members of the 19-piece South High School Jazz Combo are Liliana Rauenzahn, Hendrik Ericson, Elias Kiefer, Vihren Milanov, Owen Armbruster, Nayeli Ramirez, Carson Brown, Lola Murphy, Callie Dorsett, Aiden Lindberg, and Ben Engle.

LIVE performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by KUVO Studio Club member, the Bonfils Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitarland, Grace Design Pro Audio, Listen Up, Flesher-Hinton Music in Wheat Ridge, Carlos Lando Musician & Event Fund donors.
