Larry Goldings Trio: Peter Bernstein, Bill Stewart, and Larry Goldings

The Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart Organ Trio goes back to school days, Larry Goldings (organ) and Peter Bernstein (guitarist) met as high school players at an Eastman School of Music summer program in Rochester, NY. Bernstein and Bill Stewart (drummer) go back to William Paterson University in New Jersey. But those associations melded into a working band that’s been releasing music since 1991 (The Larry Goldings Trio, “Intimacy of the Blues,” Minor Music).

We caught up with keyboardist/organist Larry Goldings to talk music (career, repertoire, style) in advance of their two-night engagement at Dazzle in Denver on October 6-7, 2025.
