Live & Local: Remy Le Boeuf and the Assembly of Shadows at Dazzle
Nominated for a Grammy award a few times, saxophonist-producer-composer Remy LeBoeuf arrived in Denver at the DU Lamont School of Music as the Director of Jazz and Commercial Music three years ago. In a Zoom conversation with The Morning Set’s Carlos, Abi and Steve, Remy confesses a long love affair with the medium of radio, a chance encounter with Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross, and how he mates his jazz big band with classical and folk elements at an upcoming show at Dazzle.
Remy is also the founder and director of the jazz orchestra, Assembly of Shadows, as well as the Chief Conductor of the Nordkraft Big Band in Denmark.
