Live & Local: The Longest Walk on Rocky Mountain PBS
As part of Jazz Appreciation Month, our sister station on the TV side Rocky Mountain PBS is airing “The Longest Walk,” a documentary on the life of Denver’s statesman of the double bass, Charles Burrell, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 8 p.m. Here’s a bit of our conversation with filmmaker and Denver guitarist Vohn Regensburger about the film and the legacy of Charlie Burrell, who is still living in Denver at age 104. He is considered “the Jackie Robinson of classical music.”
