Live on KUVO: Buckner Funken Jazz streams on YouTube, Twitch Thursday 2/27/25 at 11 a.m.

Buckner Funken Jazz is on the next edition of “Live from KUVO” on our YouTube and Twitch channels this Thursday, February 27 at 11 a.m. This legendary funk band played recently in the Masterpiece Studio.

 Buckner Funken Jazz was formed more than twenty years ago as an old-school funk, jazz, blues, and Latin soul band, and they play originals too. Since then, (say it carefully) Buckner Funken Jazz has played many festivals, including the Five Points Jazz Festival, City Park Jazz, the Breckenridge Music Festival, and more. They’re also known at venues like Herman's Hideaway, Evergreen’s Little Bear, Herbs, Red Rocks, and many others.

The band is led by Dr.Rod Buckner (trumpet and vocals), with Ron “B-6” Buckner (bass), Bobby Hill (congas), Bruce Crismen (drums and vocals), Dave Frisk (guitar and vocals), and Phillip “Fly” McClard (sax).
