Michael Lenssen chats with Paul Donovan on Evening Jazz

As a radio personality for more than 20 years in Denver, Paul’s radio career includes work with major market stations in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Dallas

EWI (Electric Wind Instrument) player Michael Lenssen (aka Mickey Lenny) will join Evening Jazz host Paul Donovan on Thursday, March 27 at 5 p.m. to talk about his upcoming show with Denver trumpeter Greg Gisbert.

Joining them will be Sonya Walker on keyboard, Connor Terrones on guitar, Domi Edson on bass, and Jaik Hakkarinen on drums. Together, they form "Electric Giz," and they'll be performing on Friday, March 28 at 10 p.m. at Dazzle.

Electric Giz is the brainchild of Greg Gisbert and Mickey Lenny, born out of their collaboration with Maria Schneider on her Grammy-winning 2020 album Data Lords. Their music combines improvisation, sound design, and catchy hooks in an immersive journey through genres. Seemingly simple compositions provide a foundation for the band to share their joy in spontaneous creation.

And maybe Michael will bring his instrument and demonstrate it live on KUVO!
