"The Good, The Bad, and The Devine" at Dazzle

Steve Chavis joined KUVO JAZZ in 2012 as morning news host and Public Affairs Manager, and spent five years alongside Carlos Lando as co-host of “First Take with Lando and Chavis.” He served for five years as program director
Dave Devine with Steve Chavis on The Morning Set

Along with the National Western Stock Show every January in Denver, Dazzle presents “The Good, The Bad & The Devine,” led by guitarist and educator Dave Devine, with a few members of Devotchka. The iconic score to Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” provided more than enough music fiber for Devine, who has performed the classic work in septet format since 2014. Devine visited KUVO’s Morning Set to talk about western jazz, Morricone, and how the whistlers in the band recreate the eerie soundtrack. (The show is at Dazzle, Sat. Jan. 4 at 6:30. Limited availability.)

Dave Devine - guitars / glockenspiel
Tania Katz - vocals / whistling / melodica
Patrick Lee - piano / keys
Shane Endsley - trumpet / whistling
Tom Hagerman - violin
Jeanie Schroder - double bass
Shawn King - whistling / drums / glockenspiel
