Friday, 6/27, at 7 p.m. — Gabriel Santiago & Elden Kelly Duo

Gabriel Santiago was born in Brazil (1980). Santiago is a composer/arranger/ acoustic and electric guitar player. His solid background also features studies with jazz masters Pat Metheny, Adam Rogers, and Maria Schneider. Santiago has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including esperanza spalding, Chris Potter, Stefon Harris, John Clayton, Terence Blanchard, Janek Gwizdala, Carmen Bradford, André Mehmari, Romero Lubambo, Odair Assad, and Gilson Peranzzetta, among others. He also has collaborated with Recording Engineer Master Rupert Neve several times, and was invited to be the first artist to record with Neve’s first ever line of microphones. Gabriel has been composing music for a wide variety of ensembles (ranging from Symphony Orchestra to Chamber ensembles, Big band to Jazz Combos), styles, and media, including Film, TV, and Internet.

Elden Kelly, Guitar virtuoso, improviser, composer, and sound innovator Elden Kelly is one of the world’s best-kept musical secrets. Audiences of all kinds are engaged by his expressiveness, technique, and original thinking. As a solo and collaborative artist, his solutions to the questions offered in the format are engaging and unforgettable, and his contributions are deep and far-ranging. He also has a strong and haunting vocal style, which he incorporates from time to time with great effect. Whether performing his original music or transforming a known theme, it always has the mark of the exceptional.

Saturday, 6/28, at 7 p.m. — CCJA Alumni Quintet with Paul Romaine

Experience the future of jazz as the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA) proudly presents an electrifying evening of music featuring some of its most dynamic young artists: Gabe Rupe on bass, Sonya Walker on keys, Sam Keedy on trombone, Aleks Girshevich on drums, and Shota Renwick on sax. Paul Romaine will join in on drums.

This concert brings together five young talents, each a standout in their own right, for a night of bold improvisation, tight ensemble playing, and innovative interpretations of original compositions. From blistering solos to intimate, lyrical moments, this performance promises to be a vibrant showcase of the next generation of jazz talent shaped by CCJA’s unique mentorship-based approach

Sunday, 6/29, at 7 p.m. — CJRO "Let 's Fall in Love" with Marion Powers

Embrace the magic of romance and the timeless feel of jazz with an unforgettable evening of great music from the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra and Marion Powers. This concert brings together a vibrant mix of love songs, performed with swing, style, and just the right touch of cool. Featuring: Drew Zaremba - saxophone, Eric Gunnison - piano, Eric Hitt - bass, Alejandro Castaño - drums, and Marion Powers - vocals.
