Vinyl Vault Turns 20!

Gil Scott-Heron, "Reflections"

This week, the Vinyl Vault turns 20! It was January 2006 when host Geoff Anderson first spun some records on the Vinyl Vault on Tuesday evening on KUVO. This week, he looks back at all those records that he’s featured over the past two decades and will be playing some of the tastiest tracks featured during that time.

From the very first cut featured on the Vault, through the various genres that appeared throughout the years, you’ll hear samples of them all. Some of those genres included ‘70s jazz fusion, world beat, straight-ahead jazz, blues, funk, classical-jazz fusion, Latin, ECM (a category all its own), swing, big band, country and many tracks mixing some or all of these sounds.

The festivities start at 8:30 p.m. this Tuesday, January 13, only on KUVO JAZZ.
