Thank you to those who supported KUVO JAZZ on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, transmitters are operating at reduced power and reception may be affected through the weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on the KUVO app.

For our Summit County ListenersThe KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

Women in Jazz!

One of the themes coming out of the most recent Jazz Congress in New York last month was the growing presence of women in jazz. All we can say is, it’s about time, sisters! Women are often seen as vocalists or behind the piano, but during World War 2, women made up entire jazz orchestras, as seen in the movie “The Girls in the Band.” Today there are several all-female ensembles, including the Diva Jazz Orchestra, Artemis, Maqueque, and many more. Today on KUVO, we’ll be playing all women jazz artists, all day!

40 Years of Community, Culture, Music, and Love!

This month, and throughout the year, we’re counting on people like you to ensure this forward-thinking outlet known as KUVO stands strong. The people have always stood up for the music, and the beauty of our community. For four decades, people have made certain that this station is on-the-air, and that KUVO is the connecting voice for our community. We’re celebrating 40 Years of community, culture, music, and love – because of YOU!
