Community Connection: Will Liverman

2023 Grammy Award winner Will Liverman, an American operatic baritone, met with Tree King during her latest Community Connection on Thursday, February 26. They talked about what inspired Will to pursue a career in opera, how he felt when his name was called after winning the Grammy, and how his experience as a black artist influenced his work and the stories he chose to tell.

Will and Tree also talked about Will performing in Fire Shut Up in My Bones, an opera written by jazz trumpeter Terence Blanchard, at the Metropolitan Opera.
