Thank you to those who supported KUVO JAZZ on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, transmitters are operating at reduced power and reception may be affected through the weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on the KUVO app.

For our Summit County ListenersThe KVJZ 91.7FM transmitter site on Bald Mountain experienced a catastrophic power line failure. Because of the high elevation and winter conditions, repairs won’t be possible until next summer. Stream KUVO JAZZ on our website, the app, or your smart speaker.

Electric Giz now on KUVO’s YouTube, Twitch channels!

The band Electric Giz, recently recorded in our Masterpiece Studio, is the newest addition to KUVO’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

Electric Giz is a new music project led by Colorado Music Hall of Fame member Greg Gisbert on trumpet and Mickey Lenny on EWI-Electronic Wind Instrument, with Sonya Walker on keyboards, Connor Terrones on guitar, Jaik Hakkarinen on drums, and Domi Edson on bass.

Electric Giz draws in audiences with accessible grooves and contemporary sonic elements. Their original music combines improvisation, sound design, and catchy hooks in an immersive journey through genres. Seemingly simple compositions provide a foundation for the band to share their joy in spontaneous creation. Electric Giz is the brainchild of Greg Gisbert and Mickey Lenny, born out of their collaboration with Maria Schneider on her 2020 album “Data Lords.”

Electric Giz, is now on KUVO’s YouTube and Twitch channels. Like, subscribe, share, and hit the notification bell.

Performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by KUVO Studio Club members, the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitar Land, Grace Design Pro Audio, and the donors to the Carlos Lando Musician & Event Fund.
