Influenced - Lettuce with Colorado Symphony

Andy O’ is a musician (his band Coyote Poets has 6 albums out) and an award-winning poet who came on board at KUVO JAZZ on Labor Day 1989.Since then he has worked nearly every air shift and from 1997 to 2003 he was the Music Director at KUVO

On Tuesday, February 25 on Influenced, Abi Clark and Andy O' welcomed special guests Adam Deitch (drums, percussion, arrangement) and Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff (guitar) from the amazing funky, jazzy band Lettuce as well as Tony Pierce arranger and Chief Artistic Director of the Colorado Symphony to the KUVO studios to discuss their recent collaboration, an exploration of “symphonic funk.”

Their latest album, a recording of this epic collaboration at the DCPA’s Boettcher Concert Hall in November of 2018, is set to be released on Friday, February 28. To celebrate, a concert film premiere of this same performance with special behind-the-scenes interviews is happening at the Sie Film Center on Saturday, March 1 followed by their third performance together, this time at Mission Ballroom on Sunday 03/2.
