Monday Night Jazz Odyssey Welcomes ETHNO for a Special In-Studio Takeover

Jeff Franca

This Monday, January 26, at 10 p.m., the Monday Night Jazz Odyssey with alldaywes invites listeners into a deep, global soundscape with a special in-studio takeover by ETHNO, the latest sonic exploration from Denver-based drummer and producer Jeffrey James Franca.

Widely known as the longtime live percussionist for electronic music pioneers Thievery Corporation, Franca’s solo project ETHNO embodies his lifelong love of global rhythm and musical diversity. Drawing influence from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and South America, ETHNO blends intricate rhythms and melodies with lush textures and thumping bass. Creating immersive sound journeys designed to move both body and spirit.

Listeners can feel the imprint of Franca’s years traveling the world with Thievery Corporation in ETHNO’s ethereal, forward-thinking approach. His sound bridges tradition and futurism, delivering what feels like a genuine “future world music” experience. ETHNO performances are known for their driving, danceable global-electro grooves, seamlessly blended with live percussion, and have energized crowds across the country.

We’re excited to have Franca sit in with alldaywes to help curate the Jazz Odyssey, sharing selections inspired by his travels, collaborations, and deep rhythmic roots. This session offers a timely glimpse into an evolving artistic vision.

As Franca puts it: “We are all connected, rhythmically, sonically, and spiritually. Life is fun, music is fun, and we can connect people and cultures through our most joyous contribution—music. One Love.”
