Poetry & Jazz on The Nightside with Andy O'

Left to right: Suzi Q. Smith, Phillip Tran, Ted Vaca, and E.P. Archer

As it happens, April is an eventful month for The Nightside.

It’s National Poetry Month, and it is also National Jazz Appreciation Month.

"As a musician, a poet, and a broadcaster, all these elements come together on the show I host that features Poetry and Jazz."

On Sundays in April, we will feature some Denver Poets that came down to record and video their art for subsequent weeks of The Nightside and the KUVO YouTube channel. They are outstanding examples of the Denver spoken word community, we were fortunate to have them drop in. They are Suzi Q. Smith, Phillip Tran, Ted Vaca, and E.P. Archer.

It was a first for us to have poets in front of cameras performing in the Bonfils-Staton Performance Studio, and we look forward to sharing their talents with you.

Each Sunday, we will feature one poet through the end of April!

Andy O' will also present the annual Easter Guitar Pull on the third Sunday of the month, April 20.

Poetry and Jazz: that’s The Nightside and April on KUVO JAZZ!
