Vincent Herring’s supergroup Something Else! brings Soul Jazz to Denver

But he found common ground with the other members of the soul-jazz supergroup Something Else! Considering the line-up (Herring – alto sax, Jeremy Pelt – trumpet, Wayne Escoffery – tenor sax, Paul Bollenback – guitar, Dave Kikoski – piano, Essiet Essiet – bass, Lewis Nash – drums), bandleaders all, they each pull away from busy schedules to have fun in the funky, bluesy soul-jazz vein. “We have this playground for these musicians.
