Doug’s been a jazz host on KUVO since 1992. He’s performed as a trombonist with many local swing and big bands, orchestras, wind ensembles, brass quintets and trombone choirs. He was a member of the award-winning Bowling Green State University Jazz Lab Band and has performed with Bill Watrous, Doc Severinsen, Peter Serkin, Marvin Hamlisch, Helen Reddy to name but a few. His favorite jazz musicians are too numerous to mention but include Bill Evans, JJ Johnson, Bob Brookmeyer and Woody Shaw.
