David Amram makes his annual stop at KUVO to perform ‘live’ in the Phyllis A. Greer Studio. Amram will be playing piano, dumbek drum, penny whistle and Plains Courting flute, Chinese hulusi and vocals. He will be joined by local musicians for a jam session for your listening pleasure.

“When I first came to KUVO in 1990, it was a small community station. Old friend Jose Garcia  had told me in Taos in the summer of 1980 that when I came to Denver I had to tune it in and visit there.

So many of the people at KUVO 30 years ago (in 1990), like Carlos Lando, Tina Cartagena, Rodney Franks are still at KUVO today in 2020 and as a community station, it not only served the Rocky Mountains artists and the music they create but is now recognized nationally and……. INTERNATIONALLY!! It serves as role model for all of us to be ambassadors for true music built to last. And, jazz is all about that!!!!” David Amram
