History Colorado’s collections—from books and manuscripts to artifacts and photographs—encapsulate the rich history of this state and help us understand the present in the context of the past. And during this Coronavirus pandemic future generations are going to want to know what happened and how we as Coloradans dealt with it.  History Colorado is working on preserving moments from this time to let people in the future happened in Colorado’s past regarding the pandemic.

I had a chance to speak with Marissa Volpe, Director of Community Engagement, with History Colorado regarding how right now we are in the midst of history making times regarding the Coronavirus, what the story is that will be told to future generations about the pandemic, and a campaign that they have going on right now about collecting stories from people regarding Covid-19.
