La Raza Rocks presents “Roots and Branches” of Chicano Rock

Pocho Joe has been your on-air host for 18 years of the program’s 19-year history. The show presents Latino rock-based music from Sunny & the Sunliners, Santana, Los Lobos, the Iguanas, Los Lonely Boys, and Dr. Loco and his Rockin’ Jalapeno Band to mention a few.

The program is the place on the Denver radio dial to hear the progressive music and messages of Ozomatli, Quetzal, Alejandro Escovedo, the Blazers, and many more groups, proudly covering the “roots and branches” of Chicano and Latino rock-based music.

One of the shows ardent supporters states:
“My Family (The Lucero Family) and I have been faithfully listening to and supporting Pocho Joe’s Radio Show, “La Raza Rocks”, for the past 18 years. His commitment is to consistently deliver a quality show highlighting Chicano talent from the past and the present. It has been his signature and his mode of operation. Also, through “La Raza Rocks”, he shares significant information that supports both community and family events and happenings. Regardless, if it’s about entrepreneurship, youth leadership, entertainment, birthdays, etc. Moreover, he always announces it in a genuine and sincere fashion.

HIS (Pocho Joe) DEDICATION TO SERVE OUR CHICANO COMMUNITY VIA “LA RAZA ROCKS” IS BOTH PRICELESS AND EVERLASTING! “ (submitted by Cheryl Lucero)
