Salsa music is a mixture of the polyrhythms of Cuba and Puerto Rico that in the late 1960s was seasoned with jazz and the urban influences of New York to create the salsa boom heard around the world. On Sunday December 1st, Arturo Gómez will take you around the world of salsa sharing with you recordings from groups and locations not associated with the Caribbean or New York. The tour will feature salsa from Denmark, Scotland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Japan, the UK, Iceland, Hawaii and other regions across Planet Salsa. Make sure to tune in or log on to Salsa Con Jazz, Sunday, December 1st from 2 until 4pm for a unforgettable afternoon of swingin’ Latin dance music guaranteed to make you move and groove, you might even dance away some of your Thanksgiving feast!
