Taíno DaKa (I Am), director Alex (Guaragua’Ko) Zacarias (Taíno). This documentary explores Taíno history, culture and indigenous identity throughout the Caribbean and the Diaspora. Presented in colonial history as an extinct people, contemporary Taínos are raising their voices to assert their existence and reclaim their history, traditions and cultural identity.
