Teresa Carroll

Teresa’s education includes training in voice at Ithaca College, The Harlem School of the Arts, and with vocal coaches in New York. She has performed extensively in the jazz venues of New York such as The Blue Note, Seventh Avenue South and Eric’s with such notable jazz legends as Philly Joe Jones, Kirk Lightsey, Rashid Ali, Junior Cook and Tommy Turentine. She has recorded with Ray Drummond, Tom Harrel, and others.

While in New York Teresa also recorded Comme Si Comme Ca, with Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker. In Denver Teresa continued singing opera for four years at Mike Bernardi’s winning many accolades including Best Opera Singer for Westword’s ‘Best Of’ edition.

Teresa has worked on the western slope at The Little Nell in Aspen, The Silver Tree Hotel, and Maurice’s, in Snowmass Village and various restaurants and clubs in Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. She performed at Harris Hall in Aspen with John Hicks under the direction of Paul Jeffries. She has sung many times for the JAS Festival fund raisers under the direction of Jim Horowitz.
