Vocalist, composer, arranger and visual artist, Carmen Lundy returns to Mount Vernon on Wednesday, October 8th.  Lundy grew up in Miami, Florida where she attended the University of Miami as an Opera major. She quickly found her talent in Jazz and earned degrees in Studio Music and Jazz Performance. She has written more than 60 compositions and has performed with many greats in the business including 
 
Kenny Barron, Ray Barretto, Bruce Hornsby and Bobby Watson.  As an actress, Carmen had the leading role as Billie Holiday, in an off Broadway play and the leading role in the Broadway production of Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies.  Carmen is joined by pianist Patrice Rushen, bassist Kenny Davis and drummer Jamison Ross as well as a guitarist. Lundy is on tour with her newly released recording, Soul to Soul.
