Dos Abuelas, located in RiNo’s Zeppelin Station, is one of the few places that you can find authentic Puerto Rican food in Denver. Growing up, Chef Keigh recalls cooking alongside her two grandmothers in the kitchen – her maternal grandmother in The Bronx and her paternal grandmother in Puerto Rico. She explains while the dishes and soul in the food were the same, the techniques were different. She fused these formative lessons in cooking the food of her culture and started a food truck 7 years ago. Since then, Dos Abuelas has since opened up a location in this Global food hall and has been bringing Mofongo to the Mile High City ever since.

Chef Keigh joined The Morning Set for Eats & Beats this week to talk all things Puerto Rican cuisine. As Chef Keigh so well put it: she’s just trying to “take everybody to Puerto Rico without a flight.”
