Danette Hollowell is a force of creativity here in Denver, CO. She is a musician, a dancer, an actress, a model, and since 2019 has been expressing her creativity in the culinary world. Alongside her two daughters Gabrielle Hollowell and Aubryone Hollowell, she has been bringing their waffles to parties, pop ups, and events throughout Denver. Sticky Drip Waffles is a catering restaurant goes back to mornings cooking breakfast in the kitchen with her family. From waffles inspired by Jazz musicians to waffles featuring her grandmother’s peach cobbler recipe, the Hollowells put love in every waffle they press.

Danette came by the KUVO Studios to chat about her family restaurant on Eats & Beats. It was my first time meeting Danette and we had a great conversation about what it’s been like running a restaurant with her daughters, her work in the community, and the inspo behind some of Sticky Drip Waffles most popular creations. She is a great story-teller, even shared with me the Jazz roots behind the famous sweet and savory dish – chicken and waffles.
