El Grito de Lares on “La Nueva Voz” Sept. 23 at 8am

Jack Mudry hosts a special “La Nueva Voz” for “El Grito de Lares.”  “The Cry of the Lares” celebrates the rising up of Puerto Ricans against Spanish rule.  Scholar and author Luis Ponce Ruiz joins Jack for a bi-lingual hour of reflection, information and understanding, plus updates on the latest news from Puerto Rico and the recent wave of Puerto Rican immigration to Florida.  It’s KUVO’s original program on Latin American music and culture, Sunday at 8 a.m. only on KUVO Jazz.
