Erica Papillion-Posey Quartet featuring Leonard Barrett Jr.

Erica Papillion-Posey, a jazz, and classically trained vocalist and longtime Sarah aficionado will present a number of selections that she [Sassy] made her own by employing classical sensibilities and vocal production in her interpretations.

Special guest and baritone extraordinaire, Leonard Barrett Jr. will join Erica Papillion-Posey in a series of duets (like ‘Dedicated to You”) often performed by Sarah and her longtime friend and collaborator, Billy Eckstine, known for his “rich, resonant, almost operatic bass-baritone voice,” an obvious compliment…and addition to an exceptional evening!

Tribute to the ageless voice of Sarah Vaughan, also known as “Sassy” and “The Divine One”. The four-time Grammy award winner and lifetime achievement recipient was described as “one of the most wondrous voices of the twentieth century.” ~Scott Yanow | jazz critic and historian.
