Victor Mestas, Jazz faculty at the CU College of music will be performing on piano with Joe Lukasik on saxophone and clarinet. He has also accompanied an array of world-renowned singers, including Soledad Bravo, Cheo Feliciano, and Julio Iglesias 2010 Tour in Uruguay and Argentina.

Joe Lukasik, a multi-instrumentalist and award-winning composer will be joining Victor in presenting a selection of Latin and Brazilian music. Joe has numerous recording credits including his own music as well as a session musician. Joe has also performed nationally in important venues and music festivals and has been active in the Denver Metro area performing a wide array of musical styles.

Martín Better, conceived Fruta Brutal in his search for a musical identity as an Ecuadorian who immigrated to the U.S. at a young age. Though Fruta Brutal usually performs as an ensemble, Martín will perform solo acoustic in Spanish and English. Martín’s latest single, Cultura Vampira, released with Denver’s Soundbreaker Records, showcases his eclectic sound that mixes popular Latin-American rhythms with indie rock pop.

Voces Vivas Exhibit: Come enjoy history, art, and an experience brought to you by la comunidad! This exhibit honors the early Boulder County Latino families and their histories to date. The story includes tragedies, celebrations, and monumental movements. La comunidad was guided by tradition, faith, and a lust for life. Relying on each other’s generosity to get through the arduous and
