Carl Schultz, Art Lande, and Tim Wendel are at The Muse to celebrate the release of their new album, ACT reACT. Funded in part by a grant from Pathways to Jazz, ACT reACT is a unique album featuring compositions by Lande and Wendel. The trio’s chamber instrumentation of saxophone, piano, and guitar allow for a flexibility in the interpretation of the works and the personal/musical relationships of its members shine through. The line between composition and improvisation is blurred with this trio making for an intriguing experience. For this performance the trio will be performing works from the album as well as new material prepared specifically for this event.
