The Road to Trantor is a new project from saxophonist Carl Schultz featuring Tim Wendel on guitar, Adam Benjamin on piano, Zack Teran on bass, and Alwyn Robinson on drums. The group is currently recording and premiering a new work by Schultz, “The Road to Trantor”. This is a multi-movement suite inspired by the works of Isaac Asimov. The futuristic worlds of Asimov include conflict, triumph, love, tragedy, intellectualism, and technology framed in wonderful narratives. The music performed by the band will explore these topics while showcasing the brilliant virtuosity of this incredible cast of musicians.
